Our aim at Chalfs is to breed sound bodies with beautiful heads and good temperaments. ALL our dogs are given lots of love and individual attention as we believe this is very important to get the best physically and mentally, and to us temperament is just as important as conformation.

We bought our first bullmastiff as company for our bull terrier, then in 1989 we thought we would see what the showing side of the dog world was like. After getting placed in his first few shows the show bug had taken hold. We also decided that the furthest we would go to a dogshow would be Birmingham, as we come from the south of England it would still be a round trip of over 200 miles. ha ha ha. Well up untill now dogs have taken us on numerous trips to America, Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Sicily, Belgium, Holland and the Ukraine. So much for the 200 mile round trip !

When our Bull Terrier died at 13.5 years old we thought we would get another Bullmastiff. We went back to the breeder of our first dog because of his temperement and she had a bitch that we liked which she had just mated. The day came when we had to go and pick a puppy, when we arrived she let in the puppies, well there was one red male who caught my eye and just dared me to pick anyone else. He turned out to be Champion Dajean Red Dragon. The top winning dog for 1993, 94 and 95.

We now have a small selective kennel of succesfull show dogs.
